IUMS Biennial Congress 2026

IUMS 2026 will gather medical and non-medical microbiologists from various disciplines to explore advancements, technologies, and innovations across the three main divisions of microbiology (Bacteriology and Applied Microbiology, Virology, and Mycology and Eukaryotic Microbiology) in one place. The key factors that will be discussed during this congress in Lisbon are pioneering with AI & innovation, the full spectrum of microbial life and sustaining life on a global scale. The conference program will be divided by theme each day of the congress, with November 4 being all about translational microbiology, November 5 focusing on fundamental microbiology and November 6 will cover big microbiology.
