Doctoral Candidates

Hey! I am Jarod Farruggia, a Belgian guy who fell in love with pharmaceutical sciences and the world around them. Nearly ten years ago, I moved to the south of France with my parents. After high school, I went directly to the University of Pharmacy in Marseille, where I obtained my Pharm.D. and specialized in pharmacokinetics from 2019 to 2025.

While my pharmacy background is multidisciplinary, I had the opportunity to further sharpen my clinical and pre-clinical development skills as well as my pharmacokinetic expertise through internships at Virbac in Carros and Sanofi in Montpellier, France.

Since September 2025, I have been part of the SSBB consortium. My role is to develop and characterize inhaled formulations of a new generation of antibiotics to help combat multidrug-resistant bacteria.

Outside of work, I am often described as the calm person in the group. I also have many hobbies ranging from hiking and reading to cooking.
